Morning Cookies

Did it ever strike you one day that you just want to gorge down something healthy and crunchy? Oh boy....it's been striking me for the last few days. I have been buying cornflakes in bulks from our friendly hypermarket and every morning i just have them swimming in a bowl of icy cold soy bean milk....mmmm...yummy....

Then on Sunday morning, as i opened the kitchen's cabinet, oh my...i didn't realise i bought such a big quantity of cereals.....i have 4 packets of 1.2kg Instant Oats, 3 Jumbo box of Cornflakes and 3 packets of 800g Nestum. SO i thought....hmm...maybe i could do some multi cereal cookies ya?

And the journey begins......

Ingredients :

  • 250g of butter
  • 150g of fine sugar
  • 3 small eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 2 cups of cornflakes (crushed finely in a food processor)
  • 1.5 cups of Nestum cereal
  • 1.5 cups of oats (measured and powdered finely)
  • 250g of plain flour


  1. Cream butter and sugar till smooth.
  2. Add in eggs; followed by salt and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add in all the remaining dry ingredients and blend well into a soft dough.
  4. Take a pinch of the dough and shape it into a ball. Place it on the lined baking tray. Flatten them a little with a fork.
  5. Repeat step 4 with the rest of the dough. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 DC for 12-15 minutes.
Verdict: Simply crunchy and yummy....and ADDICTIVE!!!!!! My god...I'm piling up the kgs again! Aiyayai!

Apa semua ni? Tarak bagus sikit punya dishes ka? Semua cakes and cookies oni...where are those oriental stuffs? I dun mind of Indian's eatable stuff too...

I love cookies too but they are fattening, esp cornflakes! Go exercise!! :)

Yes Shireen...100% AGREE!!!I think i would need to consult your advice on how to stay slim and healthy!!!
