Quick Donuts

I've been feeding on donuts for at least a week (7 consecutive days). Why? Blame it on my blardy hormone. Haha...the estrogen / progestrone / whatever it is in me had ignited my sudden crave of junk food.

Haiya...i'm a growing young adult ma...what to do?

The last time i made donut is by baking method....this time...notty me, ahheem...fried them. Aiya....very guilty now. How am i able to lose the spare tyre if i continue my unhealthy eating lifestyle? Sigh...enjoy life...dun worry abt the spare tyre now. Worry tomorrow. Haha!! you go :

Ingredients :
  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • 1/3 cups of sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of baking powder
  • some ground cinnamon
  • a dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
Method :
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. With a clean hand, knead the liquid-dough mixture for about 7 minutes. Heat up a frying pan and pour an adequate amount of oil onto it. Lower heat when the oil is hot enough for frying. Drop a spoonful of batter into the frying pan and fry till golden brown. Blotch the excess oil of the fried donut with a kitchen towel. Cool the donut before dusting them with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
